Hanging Black Skeleton Small hanging ornament

He's stitched in pale bones on a dark felt body, loose at the joints, the kind of skeleton that looks like he might wave rather than rattle. The stitching is done by hand, so the grin sits a little differently on every one. This is the piece for the small indoor tree, the window, the gallery of Halloween hung along a length of string. He's six inches of almost nothing, swinging gently, easy to hang anywhere a thread will reach. Worked from wool with nothing in him to crack or splinter, he folds back into the box at the season's end and comes out the next year exactly as cheerful. Some people start their Halloween from scratch each autumn. Some people keep this one, specifically, because a small grinning thing that has hung in the same spot for years stops being a decoration and becomes the season's first familiar face. Made to be kept.
